Because of a contract signed in July 2014 the province of New Brunswick hands over total control of the management of Public Forest in license 6 and 7. For the next 25 years, the Government of NB can no longer amend anything in the Forest Management Manual without the consent of JDI. The largest forestry company in NB. Nothing involving the environment, the wildlife, buffer zones, herbicide spraying, etc. Thats it. All the ability to be a proper steward of the forest disappears under corporate control.
